As part of its ongoing partnership with the Government of the Republic of Congo, represented by the Ministry for the Promotion of Women, the Congo Chapter of the Women’s Federation was officially invited to participate in the national celebrations of International Women's Day on March 8, 2026. The event, held on Boulevard Alfred Raoul, brought together the government and numerous civil society organizations in a spirit of unity and collaboration.
During the program, the Minister for the Promotion of Women presented key elements of a social pact developed by women of the Republic of Congo. This document is intended to be submitted to the newly elected President following his inauguration, reflecting the collective voice and aspirations of women across the nation.
The event saw an impressive participation of approximately 25,000 women, demonstrating strong national engagement and solidarity. It also provided a valuable opportunity for the Women’s Federation to build meaningful alliances with other associations and strengthen its network.
A significant outcome of the event was the government’s announcement that future collaborations will be limited to organizations that have completed the official “Commitment” document—an important requirement already fulfilled by the Women’s Federation. This recognition marks a notable achievement for the organization.Since 2016, the Women’s Federation has remained active in organizing programs and submitting reports at the regional level, despite limited participation in official state events such as International Women’s Day, National Day, and the Brazzaville Games. This renewed inclusion therefore represents an important milestone.
Furthermore, the event served as an excellent platform to share the vision and teachings of the Federation’s Founders, Sun Myung Moon and Hak Ja Han, while enhancing the visibility and impact of the organization.
