In celebration of International Women’s Rights Day, the Women’s Federation for World Peace (WFWP) Gabon organized a meaningful conference aimed at delivering a powerful and timely message: this important day should go beyond symbolic celebration and serve as a platform for empowerment, education, and action.

The conference emphasized the importance of strengthening women’s capacities, promoting their fundamental rights, and encouraging their active involvement in personal and societal development. Participants were provided with a valuable framework for information and reflection, particularly on legal matters affecting women within both the family and the broader community.

A highlight of the event was the insightful presentation by Magistrate Linda Bongo Ondimba, who led an engaging session on the Family Code. Her contribution sparked significant interest and deepened participants’ understanding of their legal rights and responsibilities.

To further enrich the experience, interactive workshops were organized, creating a dynamic space for open dialogue, knowledge sharing, and mutual learning among participants. These exchanges fostered a spirit of collaboration and empowerment, reinforcing the vital role of women in building peaceful and just societies.

Through this initiative, WFWP Gabon reaffirmed its commitment to advancing women’s rights and supporting their continuous growth and leadership
