Our Work in Action #WFWP South Africa

WFWP SA’s main objective with regards to our work in the Soweto is to support the learning process for the benefit of a young learner. We have implemented a number of of project in this regard. The latest project implemented is Funville - Play to Learn.

On December 2–8, 2024, Forest Town, Johannesburg, the Women's Federation for World Peace South Africa successfully hosted a 7-Day Youth Leadership Workshop. Centered around the theme: Empowering Future Leaders, the workshop aimed to inspire and equip young individuals with the values, skills, and experiences necessary to become proactive and compassionate leaders in their communities and beyond.

From June 23 to 28, the Women's Federation for World Peace South Africa, in collaboration with Youth and Students for Peace (YSP) and the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU) Cape Town, hosted a 7-day Youth Leadership Training in Wynberg, Cape Town. This workshop aimed to instill and promote the values taught and modelled by WFWP Founders.

the Women's Federation South Africa, in collaboration with ChangeX International and BookDash, embarked on a transformative initiative aimed at promoting early literacy among children aged 4-6 years old. This project sought to provide free books to approximately 2000 children. We aim to work together with 100 educators and caregivers, as well as 20 educational institutions in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Limpopo.

On 02 -08 July 2023 WFWP in collaboration with YSP South Africa hosted a 7 Days Youth Leadership Training in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The year 2023 has started in earnest for WFWP- South Africa's Literacy Project.

In three communities, 50 families received cloth nappies that can last up to 10 years. What may seem like a simple gift has lifted an enormous financial burden. Mothers no longer worry about spending a large part of their income on nappies; instead, they can save, plan, and breathe a little easier.But the project was more than just a financial relief. Each mother also learned about the environmental impact of disposable nappies, which are among the largest contributors to landfill waste.

In March 2025, WFWP South Africa launched a gardening project at Emisebeni Primary School, with sponsorship from Play Africa. The initiative focuses on promoting climate action, environmental sustainability, and hands-on agricultural education for children. By engaging students in growing their own vegetables, the project raises awareness of sustainable practices and equips them with valuable life skills.

South Africa’s National Women's Day, celebrated on August 9 each year, serves as an important reminder of the invaluable contributions that women make to society.

In a world where values and ethics are often overlooked, a one-day Character Education program, focused on sexual purity and the Divine Principle, took place at the Peace Embassy, Johannesburg, on Saturday 05 October 2023, under the auspices of the Women's Federation.
