On 3 January 2026, the Women’s Federation for World Peace Liberia (WFWP Liberia), in partnership with Peace Hana International School System, successfully held a Women’s Empowerment and Youth Education Workshop at Shara Community, Duport Road, Paynesville City. The event brought together 197 participants from the local community.
The workshop highlighted WFWP Liberia’s initiative to construct a modern school aimed at providing quality education for out-of-school children, from nursery to elementary levels. Rev. Cecelia Duoe, Executive Director, shared that the school building is expected to be completed within the current academic year and will employ qualified local teachers.
In addition, the program introduced vocational skills training opportunities for young women, including sewing, tailoring, cosmetology, pastry-making, and soap-making. These initiatives are designed to support girls who have left school due to various challenges, equipping them with practical skills for financial independence and sustainable livelihoods.
The workshop reaffirmed WFWP Liberia’s commitment to education, youth empowerment, and women’s development. Participants were encouraged to actively support and engage in these initiatives to ensure lasting impact within the community.
The event concluded with appreciation to all participants, facilitators, and partners for their contributions toward building a brighter future for women and youth in Liberia.
