On 25 November 2025, the Women’s Federation for World Peace International Liberia (WFWPI Liberia) convened a leadership meeting at 4:00 PM on AB Tolbert Road, bringing together eight committed members. The meeting opened with a prayer offered by Priscilla J. Entsua, followed by participant introductions.
Mrs. Margaret K. Gbessagee delivered the welcome remarks, and Mrs. Cecelia N. Goffa-Duoe presented an opening statement outlining the purpose of the meeting—namely, the election of leadership and the discussion of organizational plans for the coming term.On the following Sunday, WFWPI Liberia held a general and strategic planning meeting to align its vision and operational direction for the 2025–2026 period.
The session began with prayer and member introductions, followed by welcome remarks from the President and a review of previous minutes presented by the Secretary General.The meeting focused on defining key priority areas, with members engaging in meaningful discussions centered on peacebuilding and community development initiatives. These included:
Environmental sustainability was also highlighted as a key area of focus. Members discussed initiatives such as wetland protection, sanitation and waste management, raising awareness on global warming, and building strategic partnerships.In line with strengthening the Global Women Peace Network, emphasis was placed on capacity building, leadership development, and educational programs to empower women across Liberia.A key highlight of the meeting was the formal election and appointment of new national leadership:
Following the elections, members discussed upcoming activities, including the organization of workshops and the implementation of WFWP Liberia’s flagship initiative, the Daycare School Project, aimed at supporting early childhood development and community wellbeing.
The meeting concluded with a closing prayer by Mrs. Thelma Howard and final remarks from the President, who encouraged unity, commitment, and active participation as the organization moves forward in fulfilling its mission of building a culture of peace.
