Chad Celebrates WFWP International's 34th Anniversary Honoring Women as Builders of Peace and Pillars of the Family

The Women's Federation for Peace Chad commemorated WFWP International 34th Anniversary on 16 May 2026, in conjunction with the celebration of Mother's Day, under the inspiring theme: "Women, Builders of Peace and Pillars of the Family." The event brought together approximately 40 guests, including WFWP members, community leaders, mothers, and supporters.

The celebration served as an opportunity to honor the contributions of women to family stability, social harmony, and nation-building, while also reflecting on the organization's achievements over the past three decades.

The program began with a presentation highlighting the history, vision, and activities of WFWP–Chad. Participants were reminded of the organization's longstanding commitment to promoting peace, moral education, family values, solidarity, and harmonious living within communities.A series of artistic performances added joy and inspiration to the occasion, showcasing local talents and celebrating the important role of women in society. Participants also viewed videos documenting the many activities and accomplishments carried out by WFWP–Chad throughout the years, illustrating the organization's dedication to community development and peace building.

In her keynote message, the WFWP–Chad President- Mrs. Geraldine Deneram expressed her heartfelt gratitude to all members and supporters who have contributed to the organization's growth. She paid tribute to mothers and women leaders for their unwavering commitment to nurturing families and strengthening communities. Emphasizing the theme of the event, she highlighted the vital role women play in fostering peace, unity, and sustainable development, and encouraged participants to continue serving as agents of positive change.

Following the address, a brief interview and discussion session was held with WFWP office members and invited guests. Participants shared reflections on the impact of the organization, the importance of women's leadership, and the need to continue promoting family values and social cohesion.The celebration concluded with the ceremonial cutting of the anniversary cake, followed by official photographs and a warm fellowship gathering. During the closing sharing session, participants expressed appreciation for the organization's work and exchanged words of encouragement and blessing for the future.

The 34th Anniversary celebration not only commemorated WFWP–Chad's remarkable journey but also reaffirmed its commitment to empowering women as essential builders of peace and pillars of strong families and communities.
