In commemoration of the 34th Anniversary of the Women’s Federation for World Peace (WFWP), the São Tomé and Príncipe chapter held a special celebration on 11 April.
The event brought together members, beneficiaries, and guests in a spirit of gratitude, reflection, and empowerment. The program featured an opening prayer, a presentation on the history and mission of WFWP, and a video highlighting the chapter’s local activities and achievements.
A significant part of the celebration was the closing ceremony of a sewing skills training course, during which five participants received certificates in recognition of their successful completion of the program. Guests also had the opportunity to view an exhibition showcasing items created by the graduates during their training.
One of the most inspiring moments of the event was the testimony of a former trainee who shared how the sewing course enabled her to establish her own tailoring business. Her success story served as a powerful example of women’s empowerment and self-reliance.
The celebration was marked by an atmosphere of joy, fellowship, and inspiration, reflecting the vision of WFWP Founder Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon. The event also reaffirmed the vital role women play in fostering peace, strengthening families, and contributing to the development of a more just and harmonious society.
