The Women's Federation for World Peace (WFWP) Zimbabwe Chapter continued its commitment to building peaceful families and stronger communities through a series of educational and outreach programs held between March and May 2026. These initiatives celebrated women, strengthened organizational collaboration, and introduced WFWP's vision to new communities.
On 8 March 2026, WFWP Zimbabwe commemorated International Women's Day with an inspiring conference that highlighted the invaluable role of women within the family and society. The event also emphasized the important responsibility of husbands, fathers, and children in supporting mothers and creating harmonious family relationships.Participants responded enthusiastically, engaging in meaningful discussions and interactive sessions throughout the conference. Following the event, Mrs. Mushati delivered a sermon during the Sunday church service, encouraging families to become the foundation of healthy and peaceful communities. Attendees shared personal experiences and practical ideas on strengthening family relationships as the starting point for building a better society.
On 8 April 2026, WFWP Zimbabwe participated in the International Headquarters Online Staff Meeting via Zoom. The meeting included self-introductions, orientation for newly appointed staff members, and words of encouragement from international leadership.The gathering reinforced the importance of teamwork, shared responsibility, and organizational growth. Participants were encouraged to work together with dedication and unity as WFWP continues expanding its impact across the world.
Continuing its outreach efforts, WFWP Zimbabwe hosted an introduction workshop for tribal community members on 2 May 2026 at the Harare Peace Embassy.The program introduced participants to WFWP's mission, vision, and activities in promoting peace, family values, women's empowerment, and community development. A brief history of the organization was shared, highlighting WFWP's commitment to building a culture of peace through education, cooperation, and service.
The presentation placed special emphasis on the vital role women play in strengthening families and communities. Participants showed great interest, leading to lively discussions on challenges affecting women and families, including access to education, health awareness, and economic opportunities.Interactive question-and-answer sessions allowed community members to share their experiences and ideas. Many expressed appreciation for the initiative and their willingness to collaborate with WFWP in future educational and community development projects.
The workshop successfully increased awareness of WFWP's mission among tribal community members while opening new opportunities for partnership and cooperation aimed at improving the welfare, unity, and harmony of the community.Through these diverse activities, WFWP Zimbabwe continues to demonstrate its dedication to empowering women, strengthening families, and fostering a culture of peace through education, partnership, and community engagement.
